This is how I felt today and this is what it looked like.
I asked myself the question, 'beyond sculpture, and using technology, can I represent my unconscious thoughts as a physical form?'
This led me to make some marks on different surfaces with acrylic paint while I closed my eyes - I just used the tension and the feedback from a brush to determine the direction and length of mark making. I then scanned the results and fed them into a 3D program to create a virtual form that could be printed, or even 3D printed. Bumps and imperfections where interpreted by the 3D programming to create diamond shapes, spikes and shards, whereas the overall motion was retained as a sweeping shape. This is what I felt like today, and this is what it looked like.
