I track and document unconscious thought and latent desires through the process of touch.
Using plastercine "trackers" I placed a ball of plastercine in a routinely used pocket everyday for a week, tracking any movement (thumbling for keys, ect) and any automatic sculpture I created to remove all logical thought.
After this, using the paredolia I saw in each plastercine ball, I re-drew them with the visuals I could see. From these drawings, I created small clay sculptures covered in nail polish and paint. I made small stands for these so that the sculptures can be viewed from all angles, revealing further paredolia. These sculptures can also be removed from their stands in a "fluxus" inspired interaction which allows the audience to touch the pieces- mirroring the process in which they were created.
Use them as tools to project your unconscious thought. What can you see?
