Free workshop opportunity in Ipswich for Pop My Mind creatives…you are invited to watch a behind-the-scenes dance performance and create work in response to it whilst they are dancing! This is brought to you by our partners DanceEast.
Deadline for registering: midnight Sunday 23rd July
About the Event
National Dance Company Wales are touring to DanceEast with their autumn tour FOLK, which features three unique pieces of contemporary dance. On Friday 22 September 12.45pm – 2pm, DanceEast opens the doors to the theatre and invite you in to watch their dancers warm up for the day at this session called Watch Dance Class.
Get a unique behind-the-scenes look at how the dancers prepare just hours before a show. You can observe, sketch, film, and photograph the ballet or contemporary class, giving you a glimpse into NDCWales life.
This is a perfect and unique experience for dance students, artists, photographers and anyone interested in peeking behind the curtain. Expand your portfolio, practice drawing from movement or just observe with interest.
How to Join
Watch Dance Class is free to attend for up to 30 Pop My Mind artists but you must register your interest through Karis by emailing her on karis[at]popmymind[dot]com.
Please let her know asap since there is only a limited number of tickets for this event, and we need to book our places with DanceEast before they can give them to the general public.
Artists working in any medium are invited to join and create work in their own unique medium!
