This piece started of as a collaborative project responding to physical space. My self and three other artists that work within a studio space responded to the space we work within. We drew a detail with in our studio and gave the detail to an each other to respond to.
From this we decided to take a relief print of our tables. The marks made from the table represent how the space was once formerly occupied by a previous person.
In this way we address the history of the space. From my print I wanted to relate the small physical space of the studio to the infinite space of the universe. Through this comparison the boundaries and limitations of each individual space is questioned. The work is breaking the boundaries and space becomes unlimited.
