I always see the thumbnail image you've chosen for this image as incredible artwork in its own right - it accompanies your written piece so well :)

I've re-read this piece many times and the last verse still captivates me! I love the idea you explore that our bodies reflect our past journeys and obstacles, it's something I relate to and I'm sure many other people do too. I think the message that we should celebrate our blemishes & not be ashamed of them is really strong!

Absolutely! I think the media and the current generation of people are more open and vocal about making us feel ashamed of our flaws. That we should hide them and never talk about them. Granted, I am not the type of person that flaunts my flaws, but a quiet acceptance of self can be a very powerful thing. It's all in how we strengthen our minds to be. I'm not saying we should never change the things that make us unhappy, but you have to accept them first to be able to change them.

Thank you for your compliment, Karis! :)
