In advance of the DanceEast performance ‘The Knot’ by Didy Veldman, we invite you to respond to the theme ‘Union’ to be part of a Pop My Mind group exhibition!
We challenge you to create a new piece of work in any medium in response to ‘Union’ - welcoming work celebrating the coming together of two people or exploring the changing nature of relationships.
Selected pieces from this call-out (and two more call-outs coming soon) will be included in an exciting professional group exhibition at the Whistler Gallery, the DanceHouse, Ipswich this Spring. The exhibition is due to start in early May 2018 and last for 3 weeks, and is curated by Pop My Mind artist / curator Sarah Mallett.
The Selection Process
All mediums will be considered for this reward, including written word and audio.
Simply upload a new piece of work created in response to this theme by pressing the ‘Pop This’ button to be in with a chance of being exhibited. Sarah will select the pieces of work included in this exhibition based on the strength of creativity, thought and execution.
Deadline: Midnight Monday 19th March
You can submit more than one piece of work to this challenge if you like. The pieces of work along the creative chain that originated from this call-out will also be considered for the reward.
It is free to submit to this opportunity, but please note if you are chosen to be exhibited you will be responsible for framing and attaching d-rings and hanging string to any 2D artwork of yours, as well as covering postage costs of your pieces to and from the venue.
