We invite you to respond to the theme ‘Beautiful’ in order to have your work showcased in an exhibition this spring!
We’d love you to submit a new piece of work exploring the concept of beauty.
What does it mean to be beautiful? Does beauty have a gender? Does beauty have a purpose? Does beauty cause struggle? Does beauty conform?
This call-out links to DanceEast’s performance with the same name by Sweetshop Revolution, which explores sexuality from a female perspective.
Work in any medium (fine art, video, sculpture, music, poetry etc.) that’s created in response to this theme will be considered.
Deadline: Midnight Monday 19th March
Selected pieces from this call-out (and two more already on Pop My Mind) will be included in an exciting professional group exhibition at the Whistler Gallery, the DanceHouse, Ipswich this Spring. The exhibition is due to start in early May 2018 and last for 3 weeks, and is curated by Pop My Mind artist / curator Sarah Mallett.
The Selection Process
