Art on a train #9
Art on a train #9 is an evocation of the mental unrest of contemporary urban life. It personifies that inner goal of clarity whilst identifying with the unreasonableness of the expectation.

There's obviously a parallel with the imagery of abstract painting here, but my first thought was that the forms reminded me of Henry Moore's sculptures. The yellow could I think easily be seen as a small detail of one of his bronzes, with the sky as backdrop.
The unrest you describe seems to be to be most clear to me in the constraints of the 'canvas', which I'd interpret how as an audience looking at an image one can never turn our view.

Thank you for the comment. The idea of constraint that you mention is interesting. On fast moving trains all the scenery is compressed into small bundles of time through the frames of the window.
