Internationally renowned dance artist and DanceEast Choreographic Development Award recipient, Didy Veldman, launches her own company Umanoove with The Happiness Project, a choreographic investigation of western society’s endless search for fulfilment.
Best known in the UK for productions with Rambert, Northern Theatre and Phoenix Dance Theatre, Didy has also worked with companies all over the world including Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal, Royal New Zealand Ballet and Gothenburg Dance Company.
This supremely physical and theatrical full length work for four dancers is made in collaboration with designer Kimie Nakano and celebrated composer and violinist, Alexander Balanescu, who will be performing live at the Jerwood DanceHouse. PERFORMING at DANCEEAST Friday 4th November | 7:30pm
